Meredith Ann Moyer
Meredith Ann Moyer On Friday afternoon March 26th Meredith Ann Moyer (Mernie) passed away peacefully. Her hands were being held by her granddaughter Hadley Mueller and her daughter Kim Moyer while listening to an opera sung by Pavarotti and Bocelli. Meredith was born and raised in the Canandaigua, Clifton Springs area, and was the daughter of George and Francis Power. She lived here her whole life! She raised 3 children Kim, Kregg, and Kevin. Meredith worked at the Thompson hospital for years in the emergency room greeting area and later for Antiques Unlimited ! She collected and refurbished furniture and taught herself how to make hand made hooked wool rugs. She dyed the yarns and designed the rug scenes. Mernie , to her friends, had exceptional taste. Her home was a warm and an interesting place to visit. She had an affinity for Canandaigua's artists and history and was quite able to discuss their relevance to the area. In the 70's and 80's she was a very knowledgable and sought after Pewter connoisseur. She had a beautiful collection and loved discussing the pieces and their origin. Mernie has three beautiful grandchildren and was a loving and enthusiastic grandma! She loved baseball and professional golf as well as her Syracuse Orangeman basketball team. Her Yankees were a big part of her life and a topic she reveled in. She was a fan! She leaves behind 3 children and grand children and a life fulfilled in beautiful Canandaigua. She will be missed. Rest in peace mom! There are no services planned at this time but we will recognize any condolences. They can be made at kamgolf@optonline.net.
