Thelma Guerber May 14, 1924 - March 24, 2021 Tacoma, Washington - Thelma Mae (Gilson) Guerber passed away on March 24th following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on May 14th, 1924 to Andrew Jackson and Alice Gilson in the rural community of Kings Valley, Oregon. She attended Corvallis High School, where she met Allen (Pat) Guerber when she was a sophomore and he was a senior. Pat married Thelma in 1942. Thelma spent her adult life raising 3 children and loving on all her grandchildren, community volunteering, farming, and gainful employment. She was known for her engaging personality and she built strong friendships that lasted her lifetime. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pat, her daughter Trudy Parks, and her son Michael. Survivors include son Steve (Donna) Guerber, daughter-in-law Midge Guerber, son-in-law Ray (Kelly) Parks, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to elesio Retirement Center in Tacoma, WA.
