In memory of
Kenneth J. Krotz
Beloved Father, Kenneth J. Krotz, of Export, passed away Esater Sunday, April 4, 2021, at the age of 82. Kenneth was born in November 1938. He lost his battle with Covid-19, but he is reunited with the love of his life, Marianne (Shipkosky) Krotz, who passed away in 2017. His grief took him daily to the cemetery to visit and talk to his wife. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Jesse Krotz; and a brother, Harry Ward. He is survived by his four children, Kenneth (Janice) Krotz, Keith Krotz, Melissa (Bill) Lewis and Kirk Krotz; nine grandchildren, Shawna (Eric) Mejia, Brittney (Josh) Bush, Tiffany (Joe) Stupka, Anthony (Johnna) Depellegrini, Michael Depellegrini, Jessica (Josh) Peniazek, Stephanie (fiance Justin House) Krotz, Kylie Krotz and Lexi Krotz; two step-grandsons, Josh and Justin Lewis; also eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dolores (John) Cordera; brother-in-law, Charles Shipkosky; and brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Shipkosky. Ken retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission in 1994, where he was a district superintendent. Early in his retirement, he loved to spend time at Cloverleaf Golf Course working as a ranger. You could also find him working in his garden or taking his pugs for a walk. He was always a devoted husband and father, but his love for his pugs, both Stanley and Oscar, was endearing to watch. He was an Army veteran, member of St. Mary's Church, the Italian American Club, White Valley AMVETS, White Valley Athletic and Social Club and a 50 year member of the Export Moose Lodge No. 234. Friends and family are welcome from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Church, Export. Everyone please meet at the church. CDC recommendations must be adhered to. Interment will follow with military honors accorded by the Greensburg VFW Post 33 Honor Guard in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Krotz's name to St. Mary Church, 5900 Kennedy Ave., Export, PA 15632. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
