In memory of
Michele Ann Theriot
On Friday, February 5, 2021, Michele Ann Theriot passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a long, brave battle with cancer. Michele was born on November 24th, 1949 in Durango, CO to Ed Theriot and Lynelle Theriot. She attended Durango High School and Fort Lewis College. Michele lived for adventure and traveled the world as an actress and film producer. After marrying Darren Clair on December 29, 1980, in New York City, the couple moved to Santa Monica, California, where Michele continued her film directing and producing career while raising their three daughters, Zoe, Rio, and Lulu. Michele's birthright was that of a magic woman; as evidenced by her intoxicating charm and wit, her ability to make friends with anyone, talk to animals and bring plants back to life. From her childhood in Durango, she had learned how to hunt and fish and accept the bounty of the land. Michele lived her life fearlessly because she always believed in the abundance that the universe has in store. Her source of strength was rooted in a deep belief that "the Universe will provide." Time after blessed time, she was right. Although she enjoyed a fruitful Hollywood career, success meant something different to Michele. In 1994, she proudly gave up her work to raise her three daughters in her hometown. Above all else, Michele was a loving and devoted mother to Zoe Clair, Rio Gabriella Penman, and Lulu Clair. She is survived by her two brothers Randy and Mitch Theriot, three daughters, six grandchildren, and many, many friends that she cherished as kin.
