Cecil Belk Shalimar - Cecil Belk, aged 78 of Shalimar, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at home. Cecil Ray Belk was born on September 10, 1942 in Elkhorn, WI. Cecil attended White Oak School in Elkhorn, and Allentown HS in Milton, FL. A lifelong scholar, he graduated college with several degrees. Cecil joined the Air Force in 1960. He retired at Eglin AFB in 1981 at the rank of Master Sergeant. During his service he received multiple military awards. He served as Minister of Emerald Coast Church of Christ from 1989 until the time of his death. Cecil was the beloved husband of 33 years of Edna Belk, deceased. Cecil was previously married to Mary Bonifay of Milton, FL for 24 years with whom he had 4 children. He is survived by his children, Steven Belk (wife Victoria) of Tampa, FL, Sherri Belk of Rabun Gap, GA, Sharla Calloway of Pensacola, FL and Standon Belk of Flowery Branch, GA; a step-Daughter, Tracy Gorby Seymour (husband Dan) of Oakton, VA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nephews/nieces. His siblings are Terry Belk of Tampico, Mexico, Carl Belk of Mobile, AL, Karen Belk Haak of Sunnyside, WA, and numerous nieces, nephews and grand/great nephews and nieces. Mr. Belk was preceded in death by his father Raymond Belk and mother Marie Emma Hopkins, and wife Edna Earl Belk. Cecil will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Services will be held at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL. A Visitation will begin at 10am with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Guests are asked to wear masks due to Covid-19. Flowers can be sent to the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, Ft.
