In memory of
Lenore "Honey" McQuillin
Lenore "Honey" McQuillin, 89, of Delta passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Honey was born Jan. 23, 1932, to the late Henry and Isabel (Steinbrecher) Lind. On Nov. 23, 1950, she married Clarence Elden "Buck" McQuillin, and he preceded her in death. Lenore's nickname came from her dad calling her his Honey girl. Honey was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wauseon for most of her life and taught Sunday school for about 35 years to preschoolers that included her son, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. Honey delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. Honey was outside more than inside, and grew vegetables, fruits, and flowers that she shared with others. She had a great sense of humor, sassy comebacks, and enjoyed country music and line dancing. Honey loved riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle during the summer and decorating her home for the Christmas holidays. Honey was always baking delicious cakes and decorating them for family and friends' birthdays and weddings. Surviving Honey are four children, Mary Jane (Mike) Storeholder, Marilyn (Roger) DeMond, Rex (Joan) McQuillin, and Tim (Ellie) McQuillin; six grandchildren, Scott (Missy MCullough) Storeholder, Joshua (Nishi) DeMond, Justin (JoDee) DeMond, Melissa (Dustin Hawk) McQuillin, Jessica (Scott) Keller, and Tim McQuillin Jr.; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise (Robert) Gilson; a sister-in-law, Stazy Lind; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Laurence Lind. Funeral services will be private. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home is honored to serve the McQuillin family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the donor's preferred organization or charity. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com . The family thanks Browning Masonic Pathways staff for the loving care they gave Honey during her dementia years and Ohio Living for the compassionate care provided to Honey and her family.
