Joseph A. Kresky World War II Vet, 98 Joseph A. Kresky, 98, of Randolph died peacefully, Wednesday, March 31, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X R.C. Church, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, N.J., followed by burial at the BGWCD Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Visiting hours are Tuesday 3-7 p.m. at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Born in Jermyn, Pa., he resided in Parsippany before moving to Forked River in 1985 and Randolph in 2018. Joe was employed as an electrician with I.B.E.W. Local #367 in Parsippany for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1985. A U.S .Army Veteran of WWII, he served in the European Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart. Joe is a parishioner of St. Pius X R.C. Church in Forked River. He was a member of the VFW in Bayville, the American Legion in Whippany and the DAV. Joe is survived by his second wife of 40 years the former Evelyn Thomas; by three daughters; Diane Doyle and husband, Tom, of Harleysville, Pa., Barbara Kresky of Pottstown, Pa., and Ann Marie Barone and husband, Bob of Lake Shawnee; by 6 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren; by three step- daughters. Joyce Porter of Clifton, Cheryl Dowling of Lake Hopatcong and Gail Magura of McConnells, S.C., by a stepson, David R. Thomas of Trinity, Fla.; by 11 stepgrandchildren and 19 stepgreat-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Mozdziock), by two sisters and four brothers. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Veteran's Organization of choice. hancliffehomeforfunerals.com
