In memory of
Lauren Holshouser
HOLSHOUSER, Lauren Lauren Hayley Holshouser was a precious and loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. Lauren was born to Dr. Kimberly Baker and Scott Holshouser on October 17, 1990, and she left this world suddenly on March 1, 2021. As the beloved middle child in her family, Lauren cherished being both a younger sister to Sheri and an older sister to Lexanne. She was fiercely loyal and knew when to offer a shoulder to cry on or a joke to lighten the mood. The bond that Lauren shared with her sisters was never weakened by distance before, and it will always remain strong. After graduating from JJ Pearce High School in 2009, Lauren attended Texas Tech University. While at Texas Tech, she became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority as a legacy to her grandmother Rossi Ann Stiles. Lauren was not only beautiful but also creative and artistic, which she expressed through her work as a professional model for the Neal Hamil Agency in Houston, Texas. At a young age, Lauren was a gifted athlete and her love of sports and activity continued throughout her life. While in school, she played soccer and ran track, and in her adulthood, she worked as a trainer at a kickboxing gym and played tennis recreationally. Lauren was known for being witty and quick to make anyone around her laugh. She was a compassionate and kindhearted friend, and she possessed the unique ability to let those around her be themselves and feel completely at ease. Her bright light will never fade. She will be deeply missed and forever celebrated. Lauren is survived by her mother Dr. Kimberly Baker; father Scott Holshouser and stepmother Nena Holshouser; sisters Sheri and Lexanne Holshouser; uncle Dr. Larry Baker and aunt Darla and their children Matthew and Valerie; aunt Pamela and uncle Bob and their daughters Chelsea Kirkland, Michelle De Smit, and Rachel Moore; uncle Chris and aunt Ashley and their sons Christopher Jr. and Braden Baker; grandmother Barbara Baker; grandparents Richard and Kay Holshouser; uncle Brent Holshouser; and uncle Jeff Holshouser. She lays to rest with her late grandparents Rossi Ann Stiles Baker Payte and Edward Lawrence Baker Jr.
