Greene, Robert 10/4/1938 - 4/1/2021 Ann Arbor Robert (Bob) L. Greene Jr, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Detroit to Robert and Esther Greene, and earned a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He worked as a business manager, perfecting powder metallurgical techniques that were used for components in the aerospace, petroleum, and medical industries. He holds four U.S. Patents which are still being used today. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and was an expert chef. He was especially fond of his "Bob-B-Q" where he created masterpieces like baby back ribs, smash-burgers, and brisket. He also enjoyed sailing, wood working, travel, and golf. He is survived by his wife Elaine, sons Steve (Kate) and Andy (Terry). He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard. A family memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Ann Arbor, with a celebration of his life to be held later this summer.
