Armando Huerta April 15, 1969 - March 27, 2021 Tacoma, Washington - Armando Paul Huerta, 51, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. He was born on April 15, 1969 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Benito Luis Huerta and Bernadine (Carr). Armando grew up in a military family. As a child, the family moved from different Army base assignments until finally settling in Tacoma, Washington. In Tacoma, Armando made many lifelong friends. Armando enjoyed watching wrestling, listing to Prince music, and barbecuing. He worked as a cook for many restaurants in the Tacoma area. Armando is survived by his siblings, Lois Greene, Erika Huerta-Garlington, Sylvia Huerta-Fulton, April Ricketts, Delfona Huerta, Victor Huerta, Vincente Huerta, and Rodrick Huerta-Moore; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and hosts of extended family. Armando was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadine (Carr) Huerta of Tacoma, Washington, and his father, Benito Huerta of El Paso, Texas. A private graveside ceremony for Armando is being planned at the Tacoma Cemetery on April 15th, where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Leo's Food Bank or Tacoma Rescue Mission.
