Alicia Ann Francis "Smiley", age 43 was born on June 10, 1977 departed this life on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was a graduate of McDonogh #35 c/o 95. She received her Bachelor's Degree at Southern University of New Orleans c/o 2000 and also her Master's Degree in Social Work c/o 2014. Alicia was a member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and was employed as a licensed master's social worker at Future Winners LLC and The Guidance Center Inc. She was an office assistant and Life Skills facilitator at School District Alliance Inc. and Nu Vision Human Services. Alicia leaves to cherish her memories, her loving pet Saint; her mother Dorothy Wallace Johnson; her father, Donald E. Francis, Sr.; her brother, Donald (Teisha) Francis, Jr. of Alpharetta, GA ; her sister, Andra Francis Smith; her grandfather, James Wallace, Sr.; a host of aunts and uncles including Delores Wallace, Debra (Andrew) Harris of Chicago, IL, James (Avis) Wallace Jr. of Round Rock, TX, and Michael Wallace of Laplace, LA; her nieces and nephews, Alfred Jr., Andray, Amari, Alden, Aloria Smith and Nola Francis of Alpharetta, GA; her godchildren, Fayja Winn, Darrell Randall Jr. and Andray Smith; her best friend Torrianda Lastie and a host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by 2 Grandmothers Gloria Givens Wallace, Ruth Taylor Francis and 1 Grandfather Edward Francis Sr.; and several aunts and uncles from the Wallace and Francis families. Due to city regulations, only a limited number of relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church (FABC), 8282 I-10 Service Road-South, New Orleans, LA 70126 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Private Burial. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
