Deacon Henderson Bryant, Jr. of 2539 Bryant Road, Vienna, Georgia died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. The graveside funeral service to be attended by the immediate family ONLY will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Church Cemetery, Drayton Community, Vienna, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing. Deacon Henderson Bryant, Jr. was born April 6, 1928 in Dooly County, Georgia.  Known to everyone as “Junior,” he was the son of the late Deacon Henderson Bryant, Sr. and Mrs. Alice King Bryant. He grew up in the Drayton Community of Vienna, Georgia.  At an early age he was introduced to the Lord and united with the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  He was ordained as a deacon and served faithfully.  He was committed to serving and willingly served as Sunday School Superintendent and church treasurer until his health prevented him from doing so.  He was also a very active participant in the Southwest Missionary Baptist Association where he also served on several committees. Deacon Bryant was a longtime farmer.  He also worked as  a Security Guard at Georgia Pacific in Vienna, Georgia and as a Bus Driver for the Dooly County School System. Deacon Bryant is preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Hazel Fudge Bryant.  His second wife, Mrs. Virginia Beal Bryant also precedes him in death. On Saturday, March 6, 2021, Deacon Bryant transitioned from this life.  His siblings, Mr. Joe Bryant, Mrs. Dorothy (Melvin) Doctor, Mrs. Ruth (John L.) Roberson, Deacon Hendley (Lillie Mae) Bryant, Deacon Johnnie Bryant, and Deacon James Bryant, Sr., also precede him in death. He leaves cherished memories to his devoted daughter and caregivers, Mrs. Gloria (Willie) Griffin of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Thomas (Peggy) Beal of Mercerville, New Jersey, Mr. Betty (Roger) Hightower of Riverdale, Georgia, Mr. Carl (Connie) Bryant of Columbus, Georgia, Mr. Sammy Bryant of Detroit, Michigan, Ms. Mary    Bryant, and Mr. Gary (Timeka) Bryant of Vienna, Georgia, Mr. Kenneth (Tara) Bryant of Newport News, Virginia; 22+ grandchildren, to include a beloved granddaughter, Ms. Latasha McWilliams; 18+ great grandchildren; his brother, Mr. Hillman (Annie Jean) Bryant of Orlando, Florida; his sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gloria Jean Bryant of Grayson, Georgia, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Bryant of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Millie Rookard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Atlay Killings of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Minnie Hawkins of Alliance, Ohio, and Ms. Antionette Beal of Brooklyn, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
