In memory of
Joan Stella Quain Reid
Joan passed away quietly in the afternoon of March 1, 2021. Her adoring husband, Richard, preceded her in death in October of 2019. They had celebrated more than 65 years of marriage together. Their six children were their pride and joy. Son, Timothy (second oldest), sadly preceded both his parents in death as a child. Surviving children, Ellen Reid, Mary Reid, Anna (Jim) Clemmensen, Dee Wruble and Patrick (Cami) Reid reside within Michigan and Wisconsin. Mom loved her seven grandchildren; Kelsey Monkman, Ian Monkman, Samuel Clemmensen, Grace Clemmensen, Lauren Wruble, Kevin Wruble and Nate Reid. Ava Monkman was her first great granddaughter. Joan was a career woman, starting a bit later in life. She proudly earned her associate's degree in the field of medical records when she was 42, while raising five children, and retired from a metro-Detroit hospital. Visitation at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, March 12, 3-8pm. Funeral Service at 7pm at the funeral home. Only 25 people are allowed in the chapel at one time. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in Joan's memory are appreciated to Sharon Richardson Hospice ( https://ssrhospicehome.org/ ) or a hospice of your choosing.
