Audrey Mae Burd departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the age of 84. Audrey leaves to cherish her memories her 6 children: Michael Joseph Burd, Sr. (Shirley), Glenda Burd Jones (Pierre), Charmaine Richard (Calvin), Charlene E. Jimison (Brian), Stacy Amos Burd (Tonja) and Terryale De'on Burd and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers: Edward Givens, Sr., Walter Johnson, Harry Johnson and Ricky Johnson; eight sisters: Irma Givens, Alfreda Myers, Debberah Myers Brown, Schelita Myers, Faye Johnson, Oga Mae Johnson, Pam Allen and GeJohn Gerret and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. John Henry Johnson, mother Oneida Givens Myers, husband, George Anthony Burd, Jr., 2 sons: Keith Joseph Burd and Stanley Joseph Burd, 2 daughters: Sharon Ann Burd and Carolyn Burd Simms, grandson, Rochele Leon Burd and a great-great-granddaugter Dallis Wynter Elpheage. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Oakland Baptist Church, 825 Reverend Richard Wilson Drive, Kenner, LA; viewing from 9-10 with service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Charles Hurst officiating. As mandated by the State of Louisiana due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
