In memory of
BEATRICE E. TOWNE
Beatrice (Young) Towne, 96, of Bridgewater, NH passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday March 1st 2021. Beatrice grew up in Pittsfield NH, and attended Concord High School. She graduated from Keene Teachers College in 1947. She is predeceased by her husband of 51 years Ronald Towne. They moved to Bridgewater in 1954 and were active in the community and are remembered for driving in their antique cars. She loved to sew and made costumes for her children and grandchildren that lasted for generations. She had a passion for reading, even after her eyesight deteriorated and she had to rely on audiobooks. Beatrice is survived by her three sons, Howard and wife Carol of Dorchester, Sheldon "Coot" and wife Becky of Jefferson; Forrest and wife Cheryl of Bridgewater, and eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The Towne Family would like to thank the Lakes Region Visiting Nurses Association for the exceptional care she received, along with the dedicated and loving care she received from caregivers Kathleen Bushaw, Patricia Goss, and Eleanor Delsart. A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday March 6th, 2021 at the Towne Residence at 3252 River Rd in Bridgewater. Attendees are asked to please wear masks. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gordon-Nash Library in New Hampton, or the Minot-Sleeper Library in Bristol, who always went above and beyond to get audio books for our mother and grandmother.
