Esther Morse Johnson Indianapolis, IN - Esther Jean Morse Johnson of Indianapolis, IN passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 88. Esther was born and raised in Evansville, IN where she attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. She played in the school's band and also sang with her sisters: Eleanor Morse & Joyce Morse Butler, in the James L. Macy Gospel Melodies. After graduating from high school, she attended nursing school where she received her Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate. She was a nurse for more than 50 years before retiring. Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Ellis Marie "Sweetie" McFarland Morse; her sisters: Eleanor Morse and Joyce Morse Butler. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son: Bruce L. Johnson (Rita); two nieces: Crystal Butler, Mickeley Butler-Hall; one nephew: Tim Butler; and many cousins. Services were held on February 24, 2021, in Indianapolis, IN.
