Virginia G. Monterosso Library director, yacht club member, was Randall Manor resident Virginia G Monterosso (Ginger) passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021 in Palm BeachCounty Florida. She is survived by her loving son Paul Gregory and his family Laura (Wife) and their children Jacob, Juliana, Luis, Lauty & Brandon. Her loving Sisters Maureen, Colette &18 Nieces and Nephews remember her fondly. Ginger moved to NYC in 1963 where she met her husband, the Late Judge Vincent J Monterosso, and they were married in 1970 for nearly 35 years before his death; they lived in Randall Manor Staten Island, NYC. Many contemporaries said their love was a "once in a lifetime relationship", they did everything together. Her career spanned more than 40 years in the library field, working many years at Wagner College. She received her Masters at St. John's University then became the Library Director at Kenyon and Kenyon Law firm (NYC) for 20+ years. Ginger and Vincent were members of the Richmond County Yacht Club for more than 20 years. The Monterosso family prided themselves in travel and they took numerous road trips, eventually checking off all 50 states and Canada. Ginger loved to dance and always kept the party going, for those who knew and loved her; she will be sorely missed. Upon retiring she lived in Delray Beach, FL and spent many years involved in local politics and various South Florida social functions. Ginger will be buried alongside her husband at Edgewood Cemetery Bridgehampton, NY In lieu of flowers please direct donations to Wagner College ( wagner.edu/give ) for the "Monterosso Scholarship Fund" or by calling Patrick Mooney at 718-420-4529
