In memory of
Suzanne Margaret Haberstroh
Suzanne Margaret Haberstroh Suzanne Margaret Haberstroh died on February 23, 2021 after a heroic defeat by the dreaded ALS. Suzanne was born in an undisclosed year expertly hidden from her children for her entire life. By the mid 1990s the space-time continuum acquiesced to her will and Suzanne was reported to be younger than her oldest children. A lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan (Royal Oak, Pleasant Ridge, Novi) she is survived by her loving husband Al Haberstroh, 5 children, Penny Pasque (Frank Kaminsky), Peter Pasque (Katie), Patsy Bugajewski (Leonard), Cassie Haberstroh, and Maggie MacDougall (Dyllon), and 7 grandchildren. A fierce supporter of her children, Suzanne was the matriarch of the family. She led by example demonstrating the importance of hard work and a constant striving to improve oneself. Each of her children credit Suzanne as being their major influence and role model. Suzanne was offered a scholarship at the Center for Creative Studies and attended Eastern Michigan University. She was president of her own agency, Benchmark Advertising. She was also an avid reader, collector of children's books and an artist. Her art consisted of pen & ink, sculpture, sewing, quilting, and crocheting, and she brought a creative aesthetic to everything she did. Suzanne served as President of Northville Newcomers for her local community. She maintained dear friends from St. Mary's High School and friends she met throughout her lifetime. Suzanne is leaving behind a void that can never be filled but her family finds comfort knowing that her influences live within each of them every day. Due to Covid-19 there will be an outdoor celebration by invitation when the weather is warmer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS of Michigan ( https://alsofmichigan.org ) and Hospice of Michigan ( https://www.hom.org ). Expressions of sympathy www.obriensullivanfuneralhome.com .
