April 15, 1966 ~ February 16, 2021. Mr. Curtis Staples, age 54 who lived in Jacksonville, Florida passed away February 16, 2021 @ University of Shands, Jacksonville Florida. He was born April 15, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida to Shirlene Rose Glaze and Milton Staples Sr. He received his early education in the schools of Columbia. He was a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1984. After high school he went to Bethune Cookman University and later transferred to Valdosta State. Curtis then worked as a salesman/truck driver. Curtis Staples devoted his life to his family. Curtis Staples was the baby of his siblings. Those who knew him will miss his loving spirit, pleasant personality and smile. A beautiful life, a glad smile, helping hand, word of encouragement, strength and knowledge will be cherished by his daughters YaKendra Richardson, Porscha and Kamara Brown; wife Genese Staples; two brothers Milton Staples Jr. (Regina), and Frederick Brown (Keisha); sisters, Mary Frances Staples-Miller (Joseph), Shirley Ann Staples (Albert) and Tara Magby-Miller (Jerome); and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends Virgel Scippo, Frank Jones and Mark Dais; and special cousin Eddie B.
