Mrs. Sarita (Southard) Warren
METTER -- Mrs. Sarita Southard Warren, 74, of Metter, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. She was born on August 17, 1946, to Mr. Claude Southard Sr. and Mrs. Glady Mobley Southard in St. Petersburg, Florida, and moved to Metter in March of 1975. She retired from Georgia Southern University as a senior secretary after many years of loyal service. She was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed reading and writing poetry, cross stitching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving caring, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Warren; and brothers, Claude Southard Jr. and Bryson Southard. She is survived by: children, Shannon Warren of Metter, Ga.; Melissa Sellers (Brandon) of Statesboro, Ga.; brother, Emery Southard (Liz) of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Gail Southard of Anderson, S.C.; Annette Bazemore of Metter, Ga.; brother-in-law, James Earl Warren of Metter, Ga.; grandchildren, Tanner Lanier (Alicia), Braeden Sellers and Mason Sellers; great-grandchildren: Lexi Lanier, Wes Lanier, Mason Johnson and Clay Johnson. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Visitation was held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home. A celebration of life service followed at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021, in the chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home.
