Rayburn Grubb Evansville - Rayburn Grubb, 92, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Ray was born April 19, 1928 in Evansville to the late Lester and Louise (Warner) Grubb. He was a 1947 graduate of FJ Reitz High School, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of VFW Post #1114. Ray was also a member of Black's Chapel United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, IN and loved to study the Bible. Ray enjoyed gardening, reading and doing yard work. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 32 years of service. Surviving Ray are his wife of 68 years, Betty (Hill) Grubb, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Grubb in 1971; by four sisters, Hazel Flippen, Versie Mae Burgdorf, Lorene French and La Verne Close and by a brother, Mayo "Bud" Grubb. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. John Motz officiating. Burial will take place in Zoar United Church of Christ Cemetery on Church Road. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
