09/07/1966 - 01/27/2021 Elizabeth Mary Rindge-Peterson of Rancho Palos Verdes and Avalon died at Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, California, on January 27, 2021. Known as Liza, she was 54 years old. The daughter of John F. and Mary Anne Alpine Rindge, she was born September 7, 1966, in Torrance. A lifelong resident of the coastal South Bay, Liza was proud of her southern California family heritage. A graduate of Rolling Hills High School, she earned her BA at UC Santa Barbara. In 1997 she married Ross Peterson on Santa Catalina Island, where they first met and were later engaged. She worked as a Publicist for CBS, Warner Bros., Lifetime Entertainment, and was Vice-President of Entertainment Press and Publicity at NBC Universal, before becoming an Independent Consultant. In recent years she was Vice-President of Mesmer Properties, a company founded by her grandparents. She cared lovingly for her parents until their deaths. She is survived by her husband, Ross; her siblings, Debora (Spencer), Mark (Barbara), and Michael (Dawn); her parents-in-law, Ann and Gary; her brother-in-law, Rand, her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Steven), Melissa (Aaron), Isadora Alexis, Anna (Eric), Armand (Kate), and Trevor (Judy), and 7 great-nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held once it is safe to do so. To honor Liza's love of animals, memorial donations may be made to the Whiskers and Tails Foundation of Rancho Palos Verdes whiskerstails.org or the National Cat Protection Society of Newport Beach/San Diego natcat.org
