Crowder LEANNA CROWDER November 10, 1926 November 26, 2020 On Thursday, November 26, 2020, Leanna Crowder, of Palmer Lake, passed away at the age of 94. Lea, the youngest of 8, was born November 10, 1926 in Morgan Township, Crawford County, Iowa to Henry and Bessie (Nichols) Reincke. She was baptized January 27, 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover Township, Iowa. Lea joined the Woman's Army Corps April 19, 1951 when she lived in Sioux City, Iowa. She was honorably discharged on 18 April, 1954 after obtaining the rank of corporal. Lea was united in marriage to Roscoe (Ed) Crowder March 28, 1954 in Charter Oak, Iowa. They were together 66 years. Lea enjoyed painting and the time she spent with the palmer lake art group. She loved the beauty of Colorado and watching birds. Meals with her family brought joy. Quiet time was spent reading devotionals and doing word searches. Lea is survived by her husband, Roscoe Crowder, son Warren (Tracy) Crowder, daughter Marva (John) Panos, grand children; Matthew Panos, Victoria Crowder, and Nicholas Crowder; and sister, Dorothy Fredericks.
