Edmund Charles Jenkins, Ph.D. Edmund C. Jenkins, Ph.D., of Albany, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. "Eddie" was the beloved father of E. Charles and William (his wife Sarah) and grandfather to Elijah and Isaiah. He is also survived by his former wife and friend Valerie Jenkins and his sister Mary E. Dvorznak. Dr. Jenkins' career as a Research Scientist at the New York State Institute for Basic Research in Staten Island New York spanned fifty years. It included more than 230 peer-reviewed publications in the study of cytogenetics, Fragile X and developmental disorders. Funeral services will be held privately.
