William Haskell
William Eugene Haskell, 27 Beloved son, brother, and grandson William Eugene Haskell, aka Will, age 27 years old, originally from Flemington, N.J., and recently Hillsborough, N.J., has passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. He died at his home in Hillsborough, N.J., from an accidental overdose after a very long battle with addiction. William was born in Lithuania, June 14, 1993, arriving in the U.S. in 1994, age of 16 months. He resided in Hopkinton, Mass., for 5 years, Connecticut 1 year, settling in Hunterdon Co., Flemington, N.J., in 2000 at age 7 years. He is survived by parents, Dr. Lloyd P. Haskell of Brooklyn and Dr. Mary Jean Fusco (Haskell) of Staten Island, residents of Flemington, N.J.; siblings Bennet A. Haskell and Hunter R. Haskell; grandmother Zelma Karen Haskell; uncles Frank, Paul and David Fusco, Scott Goldstein, and David Kronish; aunts Patricia Fusco, Denise Auffant, Rose Fusco, and Marla Kronish; cousins Jon Fusco, Bryant Durant Fusco, Michael Farina, Michele (Ariel) Fusco, Ali Goldstein, and Jenna Lee; maternal second cousins Alden, Brenden and Camren Farina and numerous paternal cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents Patsy Fusco, Irwin Haskell, and Grace Mary Fusco, and cousin Greg Brandon Fusco; in addition to his close childhood friend, Eric Scheier. Close and beloved friends of many years are Ashley and Dan Moore, Megan and Tim Gallagher, who have also supported him through the years. His pet companions are cat Honey and dog Louie. William attended Desmares Elementary school, several out of state private schools, graduating Hunterdon Regional Central HS in 2013. He excelled at ice hockey and baseball. William held a keen interest in sports cars, dirt biking, 4-wheeling, and was a fan of the New England Patriots and NJ Devils. He enjoyed the Christmas season, touring the neighborhood's light displays and cherished his fond memories of family events and vacationing, including his times with the Gallaghers. William's Christian values have guided him through difficult times. William was loyal devoted family member and friend, kind-hearted, gregarious, fun loving, and his smile was disarming and enchanting. Viewing on Friday, February 19, 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Hanley Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 9 a.m. at Hanley followed by mass on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m., at St. Christopher Church 130 Midland Ave., S.I., N.Y.
