On Thursday, February 11, 2021, Thomas James Lopez, a loving partner, and father of two children passed away at the age of 61. Thomas was born on September 9, 1959, in Brooklyn, NY to William and Joan (Fairlie) Lopez. He received his High School Diploma from Hicksville H.S. in Hicksville, NY in 1977. Thomas had worked for the NYC DOH for the last 20+ years. He and Rosemarie Francis have been together for 30 years, sharing their lives, their families, and their love. Thomas had a passion for painting and drawing. His home was decorated with art, cherished memories, family photos, and mementos that he displayed very proudly. He was an avid music lover and sports fan, cheering on the NY Mets, NY Rangers, and NY Jets. Thomas was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, William, his mother, Joan, and two siblings, David and Francis. He is survived by his devoted partner Rosemarie, his two children, Thomas and Chelsea, his brother Gregory, his grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Zoom memorial for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 @5pm est.
