Darrell Robert Stonehouse
DARRELL ROBERT STONEHOUSE May 15, 1948 ˜ January 16, 2021 We as a family are at peace knowing our big, handsome guy will no longer have to battle a devastating Alzheimer’s foe. Though Darrell valiantly fought a long, hard battle with the disease, the circumstances of his passing were unexpected and we miss him dearly. Darrell and his best friend and wife of 50 years, Michele, proudly raised three sons, Travis, Shane (Loretta) and Kyle (Nicole). “Bumpa” will be greatly missed by his well-loved grandchildren, Hayley, Hayden, Abigail, Kiera and Elijah, as well as Hayley’s son and his great-grandson, Callan. They will always remember the twinkle in his eye and warm, welcoming grin that he wore when spending time with the people he loved. Through the years, he was our family’s rock. He was always there when we needed him. Darrell and Michele attended every sporting event their sons participated in, all while Darrell cheered them on from the sidelines. As their number one supporter, he was always devoted to being a loving, kind and patient father. One of his greatest joys was having his whole family play on our softball team together. Known as “Stoney” by his co-workers, Darrell was admired for his hard work and engaging personality by all of his buddies at the Kinder Morgan Oil Company. Over the 45 years he worked there, he formed many lifelong friendships that helped to make the years fly by. Darrell Honey, You are my everything. We shared so many wonderful years together. It’s going to be so very difficult to be here without you. You made my life complete. Hugs and Kisses, I Love You Sweetie. Please share a memory @ www.columbian.com/obits
