Robert William (Bill) Berry Jr.
Berry, Robert William (Bill), Jr. Bill was born in El Centro, California, and raised in Fullerton, California with his parents Robert and Thelma Berry, and his sister Joan Berry Bishop. Bill passed away from Covid related complications on October 28, 2020. Even at an early age, he was extremely technically and mechanically proficient. He built a hydroplane boat, a sailboat, and with his father, an actual sports car that was on the cover of Popular Mechanics in 1956. He attended Fullerton Union High and Cal Poly University. He became a mechanical engineer and was known for inventing a drill bit for a tunnel mining machine for Calweld Industries. That invention took him traveling for years to different mining sites such as Asia, South Africa, Venezuela, and Australia. Bill is blessed with four wonderful children. Brett, Rob, Lynn, and Bart, and ten grandchildren. In his retirement, he kept busy repairing and maintaining his home on a hill in eastern San Diego with acreage and beautiful vistas. Bill was married to Linda Reitz his sister's best friend.
