Rosario Sherry Medina Mackay
Rosario Sherry Medina Mackay It is with Heavy Hearts that the Mackay Family announces, the passing of our beloved Sherry into the Gates of Heaven. She was born in Kingsville Texas, March 29th, 1954 to Gonzalo and Juanita Medina. She moved to the Coachella Valley when she was 10 years old. She grew up in Indio, Ca where she lived half her life and in La Quinta for the past 25 years where she would live out the remaining of her life. Her passing was January 24th, 2021 due to complication of Covid. She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years. She always had faith in our Lord Jesus, and lived each day with that in her heart. Our beautiful mother, spouse, grand Mother, sister, friend, and those who were touched by her life knew Sherry as a woman with many talents. She will always be remembered, with her laugh, smile, strength, and ability to help anyone with just a phone call away. She was known for her support to get anyone through life. She loved so dearly all of her grandkids. Our mom sewed, cooked, crafted, drew, danced, and was such a intelligent woman. She could solve her cross word puzzles like a master. She over all was a talented woman that never said no. Her strength, memories, and love will live on forever. She is survived by her beloved James Chapa, Her children Ericka Mackay, Jeremiah Mackay, Andrew Mackay, April Mackay, Vanessa Ruiz and 13 Grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters America Vega, Gloria Rhoton, Gwyneth Reyes, Elizabeth Medina, and brother Eleazar Medina. Mother"n'law Anita Gonzalez and many extended family. Proceeded in death by her parents Gonzalo and Juanita Medina, brothers Inocencio Medina and Ruben Medina, sisters Eunice Medina and Doreen Espinosa and her daughter Hazel Heidi Mackay. The Family request your prayers, patience and understanding as they prepare her to rest. Many great memories will stay with those that knew and loved Sherry. Blessed be those memories. Expressions of love should be sent to: The Mackay Family Post Office Box 5393 La Quinta, California 92248 In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes them to be sent to: The Cathedral City Cemetery for Rosario Sherry Mackay. Thank you
