George W. Geyer III Indian Wells - George W. Geyer III, resident of Indian Wells, California, passed away peacefully with family on January 30th 2021 at the age of 92. George was an 8th generation Geyer from Chambersburg, PA born December 27, 1928. He was retired from the lumber and framing business where he and his partners were responsible for framing more than 15,000 homes in the Orange, Los Angeles and Coachella counties. He continued to build custom homes in semi-retirement in Indian Wells and Chambersburg. In his early years, after graduating from the Peabody Institute School of Music at Johns Hopkins University, he began a career in singing and entertainment. Beginning at Radio City Music Hall, New York and then culminated later with a soloist role in the Fred Waring Orchestra and the Pennsylvanians. He continued singing semi-professionally throughout his life. George is survived by his 5 children Sharon, Barbara, George, Sara and John, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. His wife, Candice Lynn Geyer, preceded his death in 2019 after suffering from throat cancer.
