MOUNT CARMEL - Joseph J. Amrich, 87, of 132 S. Maple St., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Philadelphia, Feb. 5, 1933, a son of the late Theresa Amrich. Joseph was a graduate of St. John's School, Mount Carmel, and the Mount Carmel High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a master sergeant. He later worked as a postal worker for 22 years. On April 14, 1966, in Heilbronn, Germany, he married Sieglinde Nickel, who survives. Together they shared 54 years of marriage. Joseph was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion, AARP and the Association of the U.S. Army. Joseph is survived by his wife, Sieglinde Amrich; three sons, Norman Amrich, Joseph Amrich and Andrew Amrich; two daughters, Regina Uth and her husband, Richard, and Joann Amrich; and three granddaughters, Madison, Avery and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Theresa Yuknavage. AMRICH - Joseph J. Amrich, 87, of 132 S. Maple St., Mount Carmel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements are in care of C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, C. J.
