Margaret Mary Murray English died peacefully Sunday at the Mary Manning Walsh Home. She was 94. Marge was born and raised in Flushing, Queens, 4th of 10 children (Jim, Jack, Mary Catherine, Catherine, Anne, Eddie, Joe, Mary, and Tom) to John and Margaret (Redden) Murray. Marge worked at NY Telephone before marriage to Bernard (Bernie) English who passed away in 2002. They had 2 children, Jim and Cathy; 6 grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew, Stephen, Rose, Erica and William. Marge earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Queens College. She taught at Mary's Nativity school in Flushing and served as mentor at Queensborough Community College. Marge was a devout Catholic and truly lived her faith. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her. In addition to her loving children Marge leaves behind sisters, Sr. Marie Andre Murray OP, Sr. Anne Murray OP, Sr. Mary Cyril Murray OLM and brother Joe along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. Wake: Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home 149-20 Northern Blvd. Flushing NY, Friday, Feb. 5 2-5; 7-9 PM. Funeral mass, St. Andrew Avellino, Sat., Feb. 6, 10:45Am. She will be eternally loved.
