In memory of
Bradly William Slaughter
Born March 7, 1944, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Bradly William Slaughter departed from his earthly home and entered into his Heavenly one on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, surrounded by his children and friends. Brad will be missed for his quick wit and quirky sense of humor, his "straight" talk whether you wanted it or not, his love of motorcycle riding adventures, his knowledge of "shortcuts" with spontaneous stops, his spur-of-the-moment shooting range excursions, his willingness to drop everything and come running whenever his family needed him, and his ability to repair and build everything and anything. However, he will be mostly remembered for his faithful service to his beloved Masonic lodge; for his many philanthropic works for the Shriner's Temple; and for his love of God, family, and country. Brad is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Bobbie Slaughter; his mother, Mildred Grills Slaughter; his father, William "Bill" Slaughter; his nephew, Dalton Edward Dehn; and his brother-in-law, Tommy Michael Craig. Brad leaves behind his loyal companion of four years, Amelia Kahler; his four children, Kelley Slaughter Salvetti (Mike), Bradly William Slaughter Jr. (Erica), Traci Slaughter Rivers (Charles), and Candace Slaughter King (Jim). Additionally, he leaves behind eight grandchildren: Laurren Slaughter Whitman (Alex), Amelia Slaughter, Nicholas Salvetti, Lexi Salvetti, Ryson Rivers, Sheldon Rivers, Bella King, and Brooke King; his sister, Pamela Slaughter Craig; his brother Michael Lee Slaughter (Christine); and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 am. A Masonic Memorial with burial will be held directly after at Griffin Street Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS, is in charge of arrangements. We encourage you to leave your heartfelt condolences for Bradly Slaughter at www.heritagefuneralhome.us .
