BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Anna "Nancy" L. Olszewski, 89, previously of 502 Bear Valley Ave., Shamokin, died the morning of Saturday, Jan 23, 2021. Nancy lived at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility the last five years of her life to be closer to her family there. Nancy was born in Shamokin, Dec. 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Yancoskie) Novasatka, of 500 S. Market St., Shamokin. She graduated from St. Edward's High School in 1949. Nancy married Stanley Olszewski Feb 19, 1955, at St. Stephen's Church. She was a seamstress at the Shamokin Dress Co. her entire career. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township, the Shamokin Moose, St. Francis Home Association and the Independence Fire Co. Nancy enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling, making candy and being with her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her brother, Ed Novasatka, of North Carolina; her sister, Kathleen Manzo, of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. OLSZEWSKI - Anna "Nancy" L. Olszewski, 89, of Battle Creek, Michigan, and previously of 502 Bear Valley Ave., Shamokin. Relatives and friends wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 where she will be laid to eternal rest. Service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 with a friar from Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township, officiating. Leonard J. Lucas Jr., Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
