Daniel O'Brien
O'BRIEN - Daniel F. of Old Bethpage passed away on January 22, 2021. Born June 7, 1931. Dan served honorably as lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after a long career at Grumman Aerospace as Director of Personnel, were he made many lifelong friendships. He really loved helping people in any way he could. Most who knew him probably had a deck the he built and all he asked in return is a deck party and a cold beer. He was a diehard Jets fan with a love of the game. His family was the most important part of his life. There was not a day that went by without him saying, "I love you." We will miss him dearly He leaves behind Terry, his high school sweet heart, loving wife of 68 years, and his children Danny (in heaven with him), Maureen, Carolyn (Owen), Colleen (Seamus) and Patty (Rob). Nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. No doubt Dan led a good life and left each of us better for knowing him. The family is grateful to everyone for their love, kindness and support. We love you Dad #77. Family and friends may visit the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 125 W. Old Country Rd. Hicksville, NY on Friday 2pm-6pm. Inurnment of Ashes Friday, February 5, 2021 1:00pm at Calverton National Cemetery Calverton, NY.
