Cindy Perniciaro Heier
Cindy Perniciaro Heier died Friday, January 22, 2021, at the age of 73. She was born April 7, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Peter Andrew Perniciaro, Sr. and the late Margie Haro Perniciaro. She was married to Louis Gustave "L.G." Heier, III, for 49 years. She is survived by her two children, Louis, IV and Amanda (Jason). Cindy was blessed with two grandchildren, Savannah Grace and Grayson Scott. She had eight brothers and sisters, Peter Perniciaro, Jr. DVM (Rebecca), the late Sandra Dempsey (Robert), the late Kent Perniciaro, Mark Perniciaro (the late Mary Ann Waguespack), Michael Periciaro MD, Margie Palmeri (Mark), Laurie Lassus (Gene) and the late Paul Perniciaro. Cindy was an educator in the St. Bernard Parish School System, and a homemaker. Special thanks to Dr. Frank Wilklow, Dr. Leonard Glade, and the staff at Touro Infirmary. Cindy, we love you and miss you, but we know you will be watching over us all. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, on Friday, January 29, 2021, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held in her memory at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
