Hodde, Doris Sue 1/25/2021 Grand Rapids Doris Sue Hodde, 80, of Grand Rapids passed away Monday January 25, 2021 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with those who preceded her. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1940 to the late Alvin and Peggy Van Loon Jones. Survivors include two children, Herbert Hodde III (Beth) of Arkansas, and Lesa Patow (David), of Farmington Hills, MI; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Doris worked for twenty years at Meijer Inc. in Grand Rapids. She had also lived in Greenwood, SC and Louisville, KY where she enjoyed her work at homes for disadvantaged and neglected children. Doris was of the Southern Baptist faith and loved to travel and entertain family and friends. Cremation will take place and the family will have visitation on Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Salvation Army, 1215 Fulton St. East, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
