DANIEL J. SIMECEK Sr.
age 84 of Twinsburg passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Balada) Simecek; his wives, Annette Susan (nee Sabo) Simecek and Eleanor Irene (nee Sobosly) Simecek and three siblings, Janet Anderson, Richard and Robert Simecek. He is survived by his lifelong friend and companion Shirley Tryon; his children, Debra (Terry) Simecek-Beatty and Daniel J. (Rovelyn) Simecek, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica, Kathryn, Daniel III, John and Joshua Simecek and a sister, Jeanne Stainbrook. Mr. Simecek started with the Twinsburg Fire Dept. in 1957 and was promoted to Chief in 1985 until he retired in 1997 and remained active in the community until his passing. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church, 10419 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, Ohio. The family will receive friends prior to Mass, beginning at 9:00 AM. The Mass will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend at www.sscosmas-damian.org . Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery in Twinsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Twinsburg Fire Department, The Western Reserve Fire Museum or to Akron Children's Hospital Burn Unit.
