Boes, Egbert (Larry) 2/5/1938 - 1/25/2021 Grand Rapids Larry Boes, 82, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 25, 2021. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Mildred Boes, his baby son, Daniel, wife Norene, brother Jack, and sisters Marilyn and Rose Marie. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Jeane (Dennis) Kiesgen, Joane VanLuven, grandchildren Michelle(Paul) Johnson, Michael Kiesgen, Julia VanLuven, Rose VanLuven,great grandchildren Paul, Bria, and Jaxon Johnson, his sister Joyce Schuiteman, devoted dog Lucy, and numerous family members and friends. Larry graduated from Catholic Central High School and had a lengthy career as an electrician working at C&O Railroad, GR Metalcraft, General Motors, and Steelcase. After he retired, Larry lived in Luther, MI and spent winters in Florida. He enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. Larry will be lovingly remembered for his love of family, and wonderful sense of humor. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 29, at 11 am, at St. Patrick's Church, 4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, MI.
