Rose DiJulio Of Pittfords, N.Y. Died peacefully on January 11, 2021 from complications of COVID at age 96. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph DiJulio; son, Michael; sister, Jean Tancredi; brother, Michael DeAngelis; companion, Hank Mahalik. Rose is survived by her daughter, Linda (Michael) Kirschen; grandchildren, Rachel (Dave) Berk, Daniel (Daisy) Kirschen; great-grandchildren, Owen and Harper Berk; sister, Mary Rossi; dear friend, Irene Merkel; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Newark, NJ, Rose raised her family in Maplewood and then moved to Clark, NJ. She retired from Sedgwick-James Insurance Co. as Executive Secretary. Rose moved to Pittsford in 2017. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. One of her most favorite activities was visiting Atlantic City casinos where she always came out ahead. Rose was quite a character, full of life, feisty, a joke-teller, loved by everyone who met her and provided many laughs. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Glenmere Assisted Living / Memory Care, among others, Marjorie Billups, Joan Quinn, Paula DeStefano and Jan Conte, the staff on the COVID floor at Highland Hospital, especially Dr. Li and P.A. Chelsey Donals, and in NJ, Patricia Sewell. Due to circumstances, services will be private. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
