In memory of
Genevieve "Jean" Ginter
Genevieve "Jean" Ginter went to join her beloved Sylvester on Jan. 21 at Mountain View Care Center, where she had been a resident since November 2017. Her husband of 56 years, Edward "Butch" Ginter (AKA: Sylvester), passed away Dec. 14, 2009. Born in the Greenwood section of Moosic on Aug. 26, 1926, daughter of the late Konstanty Snarski Sr. and Bronislawa "Bertha" Danielczyk, she was a lifelong resident of Moosic. She was the chief cook at her parents' bar, Snarski's, where Jean prepared all those wonderful Polish dishes, kielbasa, pierogi, golabki, kapusta and potato pancakes, especially for the Polaron Products lunch crowd and all the other patrons who visited Snarski's. Surviving are a sister, Ceil Pyeron, Harleysville, and many devoted nieces and nephews. Although childless, Jean and "Butch" were like second parents who provided many wonderful memories and experiences. She was preceded in death by a brother, Konstanty Snarski Jr., and sisters, Stella Snarski, Felicia Kupiec, Ann Rickwalder, Hedwig Mozeleski, Helen Krawczyk and Bernice Snarski. We, the family, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Mountain View Care Center, especially those in the Camelot unit, for their limitless patience and devotion to Jean's care and comfort, specifically during the pandemic when their hands and faces and smiles and kind words had to take the place of ours. A special thank you to Dr. Martin J. Moran Jr. and his staff for the care and concern shown to Jean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Nativity Of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea, by the Rev. John Polednak, pastor. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dupont. If attending the Mass, please be mindful that masks and physical distancing are required at all times. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Online condolences may be made to www.kiesingerfu neralservices.com .
