Donald E. Oeter April 29,1929-January 18,2021 Donald E. Oeter, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021 at the age of 91. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty L. Oeter, in 2014, he is survived by his loving daughters, Cheryl D. Hodges (Joel Gemunder), Lisa K. Wachenfeld (Tim) and his devoted granddaughter, Lauren B. Wachenfeld, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother, William O. Oeter (Darlene, now deceased) of Muscatine,Iowa, and other family and friends. Don was born in Muscatine, Iowa in 1929 to Neva (McCullough) and Fred W. Oeter. He attended Muscatine Public Junior College and graduated from Iowa Wesleyan University in 1951 with a bachelor's degree in Economics-Business Administration. Following distinguished service in the United States Air Force, he embarked on a successful career in accounting and finance at several companies, including Ralston Purina, Angleboard Inc., and Illinois Tool Works. Don will be buried next to his wife, Betty, at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport, Iowa. Memorial donations may be made to Iowa Wesleyan University for the Donald E.
