Roger Hamacher
Hamacher, Roger 11/16/1937 - 1/16/2021 Comstock Park Roger W. Hamacher, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon; son, Dan Hamacher; brothers, Jerry, Joe, Jim, and Don Hamacher; and sister, Rosemary Ruble. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Dave) Cavera and Tom Hamacher; granddaughter, Lisa (Ross Greedy) Gernand; great-grandson, Arlo Greedy; brother, Dick (Pat) Hamacher; in-laws, Doreen (Don) Norton, Janice Hamacher, Sandy Hamacher, and Dave Ruble; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roger served his country in the U.S. Army, and his sons served their country in honor of their dad in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Roger also worked as a salesman in the business world. His greatest joy was getting to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Roger's words of wisdom were a gift to those around him as he was always telling jokes. He always enjoyed a good sub sandwich, a Hamm's Beer, windmill cookies, and Cheez-It crackers. Roger also liked to spend time at the cottage on Big Star Lake. The family would like to send a special thanks to the amazing staff members at Spectrum Health and Faith Hospice Trillium Woods for their kind and loving care of Roger. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Roger's life will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road, Comstock Park, officiating Rev. Father Chris Rouech and Rev. Father Tom Cavera as co-celebrants. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
