Donald G. Graczyk Donald Graczyk, age 73, passed away on January 9, 2021 at his home in Lemont. Survived by his wife of 44 years: Patrice (nee Poehlman), his son Albert, one sister: Agnes Graczyk Stawasz of California, and two brothers: Frederick Graczyk of Florida and Eugene Graczyk of California, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lottie, nee Kryszak, Graczyk, and sisters: Ruth Graczyk Korelc, Lorraine Graczyk Slachetka, Evaline Graczyk, Margaret Graczyk Herbert, Alice Graczyk, and brothers: Theodore Graczyk, Edward Graczyk. Donald earned his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin and was an esteemed research scientist, employed at Argonne National Laboratory outside Lemont, for over 43 years. Many thanks go out to the hard-working and compassionate staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice for all of their help. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, the Committal Rite and interment will be held privately at SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish cemetery. A Memorial Mass may be held in the future.
