Charles 'Charlie' F. Stenlake Sr. BELLEVIEW, FL Charles "Charlie" F. Stenlake Sr., 82, of Belleview, Florida passed away on December 25, 2020, at Leesburg Medical Center in Leesburg, FL. Born in Bangor, PA, on April 15, 1938, he was the son of the late George C. and Alice Stenlake née Pysher. In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Larry George Stenlake of Bangor. In his youth, Charlie was a member of Bangor High School's FFA club and enjoyed spending time working on his grandfather, C. Lester Pysher's farm in Jacktown. He was a member of Bangor High School's graduating class of 1957. Charlie worked for Jake Dietrich's Chevy Dealership prior to being employed by the Bangor Area School District as a mechanic before retiring after 20 years of service. Affectionately known as "Pop" or the "Old Man" by his grandchildren, Charlie loved to tease and be teased. He was an avid model train collector and was a member of the Nazareth Area Society of Model Engineers prior to moving to Florida. He loved sharing his passion for building train displays and showing off his N gauge trains. Charlie was a member of the Richmond Lion's Club before retiring to Florida and joining the Belleview Noon Lion's Club. As a car enthusiast and an avid Buick lover, Charlie spent much of his time restoring his vintage Buick cars. And on Saturdays in the fall, the TV was always tuned to a Penn State game to watch his favorite Nittany Lions play football. Charlie is survived by his wife Della Stenlake née Singer of 61 years, son Charles F. Stenlake Jr. and his wife Kim of Moscow, Pa, daughter Anita Patti, and her husband James of Bangor, Pa, and foster daughter Shannon Socha of Allentown, Pa, along with his 10 grandchildren and their spouses, as well as several brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers and to honor Charlie's memory, donations can be made to Cross Road Baptist Church, 201 S. Second Street, Bangor, PA. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 16th at 11 a.m. in the East Bangor Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
