Loran John Perham, 91 Lifelong Staten Island resident Loran John Perham, age 91, a lifelong resident of Staten Island passed away on January 9, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Perham (nee Meadowcroft), loving father of Loran (predeceased in 2012), Cheryleann, John, Kevin, David, Christopher, Joseph, and James, cherished grandfather to 18, great-grandfather to 10, and great-great -grandfather to 2. Loran was born in Brooklyn and soon moved to the New Dorp section of Staten Island then moved to the Richmond Town section. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge he worked for the A.S.P.C.A. for over 35 years and was also co- partner of A and L Plumbing and Heating with his late brother-in law-Al Bartholomew. In 1963, he and his childhood sweetheart known by all who love her as "Peggy" move to Dongan Hills where he raised his family and where family still resides. "Dad was always the quiet one in the room but his beautiful personality shined. His love and presence will be missed, especially hearing his "give kisses" ending every phone call," said Cheryleann. Funeral from Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane. Viewing will be Friday January 15th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private cremation will follow.
