Munro, Sharon Rose (Irwin) December 23, 1930 - January 9, 2021 Sharon was born in Rockham, SD on December 23, 1930, the middle daughter of Bernard and Edna Irwin. She attended Mount Marty High School. She received her R.N. degree from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Yankton, SD. She married Deane Munro on October 11, 1952 and they made their home in Omaha. Sharon and Deane were founding members of St. Joan of Arc Church, where Sharon was active in the Ladies Guild and served on numerous parish committees. She was an original participant in Perpetual Adoration at St. Joan of Arc and did so for over 40 years until her health left her unable to continue this ministry. She also worked for 20 years as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care at Bergan Mercy Hospital. Sharon was preceded in death by son, Steven; sister, Sr. Kevin Irwin O.S.B.; son-in-law, Dan White. Survived by husband, Deane; children: Mark (Deb) Omaha, Lynda (Rob) Savio, St. Louis, MO; Mary (Jim) Powers, Omaha; Janet (Larry) Wilcox, Atchison, KS; Julie White, Novato, CA; Kevin (Shari) Munro, Omaha; Molly (Dave) Aboussleman, Upper Saddle River, NJ; Jenny Munro, Omaha. Sharon was a grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Dawn (Harlan) Vesley, Seattle, WA. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a PRIVATE Funeral Mass will be held Friday at St. Joan of Arc Church at 10am.
