Ronnie M. Marquez
Ronnie M. Marquez Santa Paula - Ronnie Michael Marquez, was born July 24, 1953 in Ventura, California and entered his next journey on January 4, 2021, at the age of 67. Ron didn't like to be reminded of that, he insisted in was a teenager at heart. We know he was met by his loving grandparents, Pedro and Guadalupe Aguirre, and his great-aunt Cuca Hernandez, who raised him as their own child. Ron was a dreamer, a avid storyteller of his adventures, whether they were dreams, actual events and encounters. He loved music and his guitars were his best friends, he played with various local bands and dreamt of playing with the biggest rock bands, and he still may have that opportunity, one never knows. He wanted to be an actor and was able to have a walk on part as a F.B.I agent on C.S.I. on one occasion, he was so proud. One less thing on his bucket list. He had the opportunity to meet one of his biggest idols, Steve McQueen at the Santa Paula Airport, which they both frequented at the time. As a child he enjoyed camping with his uncle, Frank Lovio and his cousins, Jim and Frank at Ferndale Ranch and swimming in the Punch Bowl. Ron was employed with the Superintendent of Schools as a driver prior to proposition 13, and at Gibson Guitars in Oxnard, which allowed to be in contact with is favorite item. Guitars. His dream was that he be reunited with his true love who left him all too soon, a love that took him every week to leave her flowers. Ron was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, beloved great aunt, his father, David Marquez, cousins Danny, Bobby, and Richard Aguirre, along with numerous aunts and uncles. Ron is survived by his mother, Shavie A. Marquez, half-siblings Michael Rivera, Joe Rivera, JoAnn Alvarez and Jeanette Allen, along with numerous cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held at Pierce Brothers Cemetery, at 380 Cemetery Road, Santa Paula on Monday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. COVID protocols will be in place, please wear your mask.
