In memory of
Marilyn Hendry Teed
Marilyn Hendry Teed On Thursday, December 31st, 2020, Marilyn Hendry Teed, loving mother of two, and Nana to many, passed away at the age of 77. Marilyn was born on September 3rd, 1943 in Melba, Idaho to Orion and Geraldine Hendry. She grew up along with her parents and sister JoAnn in Glenn's Ferry, Idaho. After high school graduation she moved to Pocatello to attend Idaho State University. A year later she decided to move to Boise to pursue a career and went to work for Idaho Power. It was there where she met and marr ied Stephen Teed. After briefly moving back to Pocatello the couple moved to Boise with their first child, Bradley Teed. A few years later she gave birth to their daughter Tracie Teed. After the couple divorced, Marilyn went into banking at which she was very successful. When she decided to retire, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to live with her son Brad. Upon the death of her son, she moved to Reno, Nevada to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Marilyn had a passion for living life to the fullest. Music, travel, shows, and always dressed to the nine's, no matter how simple the occasion. An avid piano player, she instilled the love of music into her children at a young age. An equally avid Poker and Blackjack player, she taught Tracie and Brad, as well as her two oldest grandchildren, how to play. (But definitely not how to count cards) She has been a beacon of light to so many. The perfect combination of compassion, charm, charisma, and class. The most loving and generous soul. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and her son. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Tracie (Teed) Rogers, her four grandsons, Alex Waldron (Kat Opperman), Nick Waldron, Connor Rogers and Mason Rogers. Her niece Jennifer Hansen and nephew Mat Hansen, numerous cousins and of course, the amazing "Flamingo Sisters". A celebration of life will be arranged later on when it's safe to gather. In lieu of flowers, anyone who would like to make a donation in her honor can do so to the Covid-Solidarity Response Fund at www.COVID19ResponseFund.org or the American Cancer Society. Rest easy sweet Momma.
