Margaret J. Imlay
Margaret J. Imlay Margaret J."Julie" Imlay, aged 81, passed away on December 28, 2020 from Covid 19. She was a resident of The Rancho Las Palmas Golf Community with her husband of 60 years, Gordon, and continued to live there after his death in 2018. Julie loved golf and was very involved in the Women's Club there and was Women's Club President in 2004-05. She also held the post of Tournament chair and helped with women's club events. Julie attended Missouri Valley College, where she met and married Gordon, then finished her Library Science Degree at the University of The Pacific in Stockton, California. She worked as a librarian for several years and then as a Special Education aide in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Julie was an avid quilter and many, many quilts for charitable organizations, family and friends. She and Gordon loved to travel and golf and they travelled all over the U.S. and world, sightseeing and searching out golf courses to play. Julie is survived by her daughter, Jane and her husband Joseph, son James and his wife Lori, 10 grandchildren with 5 spouses and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will held at a later date when it is once again safe to gather. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations in Julie's honor be made to The Gordon and Julie Endowment Fund at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo.
